Once a batch file has been successfully lodged at the Medicare web site, the final step in the e-Claim processing cycle is to download the Response file from Medicare:

1.Connect to Medicare
2.Click on the link to the Download page on the Medicare web site
3.Select the batch response to download and save it into the ..\HearSoft\HearAid 5.0\EClaims folder; HearAid will try to automatically set the correct target for you, but you should make sure the folder is correct, otherwise the response file will not appear in the Reconcile list
4.When saving the response file it can be helpful for easy future identification if you rename the file from the Medicare name, which will be something like ohsiohsz1234.zip to Batch n.zip, where n is the number of the batch file

If the download completes successfully you will see the response file at the top of the file list in the e-Claims|Reconcile work area

Medicare does not keep response files for long on their web site and is is strongly recommended that you download your response within 24 hours of lodging each batch
