NavTools

The Tools menu on the Program Navigator gives access to a number of program and database management functions:

 

Browse database tables
Backup, or restore the database
Export client data, for both individual clients and groups of clients
Import client data exported by other HearAid users
Synchronise two separate HearAid databases e.g. on notebooks taken to visiting sites
Merge client data for clients who are found to have more than one "Client" record
Editor can be used to modify Rich Text Format templates used in mail-merge documents
Spreadsheets can be used to view and edit Excel files, for example tables and query results which have been exported in Excel format
View XML Tables used to export/import data and process e-claim responses
Set Default Values for the database
Default Preferences resets all optional user preferences (window size, toolbars, skin, etc.)
Purge Process Log clears the Process Log of all records more than one week old
Reset Batch Log will archive all existing batch and response files and clear the Batch Log. This function is mainly used when a practice changes owner and the new owner must begin the batch sequence afresh
Set program options
