Connection Problems

1.Connecting to QuickBooks fails. This error may be due to
a.QuickBooks is not open on your computer
>Open QuickBooks in Multi-user mode
b.QuickBooks has not been configured to accept connections from HearAid 5.0
>Check QuickBooks Preferences
c.If you have installed a new version of QuickBooks and are using Windows Vista, 7 or 8, make sure that
>User Account Control is On and
>The data file is in a Public or Shared folder
2.Invoice Problems
1.Invoices are not created even though HearAid 5.0 says an invoice has been created successfully
a.The most likely reason is that one or more OHS Items have not been mapped to existing Items in QuickBooks
>Check your QuickBooks/Reckon Item List and make sure there is an item code for every item in the OHS Item Schedule. The installation program will install two Excel files (MYOB OHS Items.xls and MYOB OHS Tax Items) which can be used as sources for importing items and tax codes into QuickBooks. Check the QuickBooks documentation for information on how to import lists
>Make sure there are also item codes for HSC and DEV. These two codes are used by HearAid 5.0 when inserting invoices for client Maintenance Payments as well as invoice line items for Top-Up devices.
>Check the ACCOUNT_MAP table and make sure all the item codes are mapped to existing codes in the QuickBooks item list and that you have a customer code for the Office of Hearing Services
