Why are some claims still showing as Processing after all outstanding batches have been reconciled?

Processing claims - coloured blue in Client|Claims - will normally change to either Paid or Rejected after the claim batch they were lodged in is reconciled in e-Claims|Reconcile. Sometimes, however, they remain as Processing even after all outstanding batch responses have been downloaded and reconciled. This can occur if:

1.The Site ID on the claim no longer exists i.e. it has been deleted from Lists|Sites after the claim was prepared
2.The Minor CSID linked to the Site is no longer valid, or has not been allocated

 

To correct the problem:

1.Make sure the Side ID on the claim is still listed in Lists|Sites, even if it is inactive
2.Make sure an active Minor CSID has been allocated to the Site in Lists|Sites
3.Edit the claim - ignoring any warning messages about it being processed by Medicare - and correct the Site ID on the claim if necessary
4.Send the claim back to Pending
